Last updated: April 8, 2026

CommercialSolarMatch.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a commercial solar savings analysis and lead introduction service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you visit our website, request a savings report, or otherwise interact with our services.

1. Information We Collect

When you use our calculator and request a free commercial solar savings analysis, we collect the following:

  • Contact information you provide voluntarily: first and last name, business email address, phone number, business address, role at the company, and project timeline.
  • Property and energy information: ZIP code, building type, monthly electricity bill, approximate roof square footage, roof age, and ownership status.
  • Device and usage information collected automatically: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, time spent on each step of the form, and timestamps. This information is collected via standard server logs and analytics tools (Google Analytics, if enabled).
  • Compliance data: a TrustedForm certificate URL (issued by ActiveProspect, Inc.), the exact text of the TCPA consent you accepted, the timestamp at which you accepted it, and a Google reCAPTCHA score used to detect automated submissions.

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age. Our service is intended exclusively for commercial property owners, operators, and decision-makers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate the personalized commercial solar savings analysis you requested, including system size, federal Investment Tax Credit, MACRS depreciation, Texas property tax exemption, and 25-year savings projections.
  • Contact you by phone, text message, or email about your request, schedule a site assessment, or provide additional information about commercial solar installation services.
  • Refer you to one or more vetted commercial solar installers in our network so they can provide a binding installation proposal. We share your contact information with these installers as part of our lead introduction service.
  • Verify that the contact information you provided is reachable and accurate (via Twilio Lookup for phone validation and DNS MX checks for email validation).
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent submissions, abuse, and spam (via Google reCAPTCHA, ActiveProspect TrustedForm, IP rate limiting, and pattern detection).
  • Comply with legal obligations including TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act), CAN-SPAM, and applicable state consumer protection laws.
  • Improve our website, calculator accuracy, and service quality.

3. Third Parties We Share Information With

We share your information with the following categories of third parties:

  • Commercial solar installers and lead buyers in our network who pay us a referral fee per qualified lead. These are the companies that will contact you to schedule a site visit and provide a binding installation proposal.
  • ActiveProspect, Inc. (TrustedForm) for TCPA compliance verification and consent record-keeping.
  • Twilio, Inc. for phone number validation and line-type lookups.
