Terms of Service

Last updated: April 8, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CommercialSolarMatch.com (the “Service”), operated by CommercialSolarMatch (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using the Service or submitting a commercial solar savings request, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for commercial property owners, operators, decision-makers, and authorized representatives located in the United States who are at least 18 years old. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You are inquiring on behalf of a commercial property (not a single-family residence).
  • You have the authority to provide the information you submit and to receive contact about commercial solar installation services on behalf of the property owner or relevant decision-maker.
  • The information you provide is accurate and not misleading.

2. Description of Service

CommercialSolarMatch.com provides:

  • A free, instant commercial solar savings calculator that estimates system size, federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), MACRS depreciation tax benefits, Texas property tax exemption, payback period, and 25-year total savings using publicly-available NREL solar production data and OpenEI utility rate data.
  • A lead introduction service that connects qualified commercial property owners to one or more vetted commercial solar installation companies in our network.

We are not a solar installer. We do not install, sell, lease, or finance solar systems. We connect you to companies that do.

3. Estimates Are Not Binding Quotes

Any savings figures, system sizes, payback periods, financing options, or cost projections shown by our calculator are estimates only, generated using public data and standard industry assumptions. They are not binding quotes, not guarantees of performance, and not financial or tax advice. Actual installation costs, savings, and tax outcomes will vary based on your specific property, electricity usage, financing choice, installer pricing, and individual tax situation.

We strongly recommend that you obtain a binding written proposal from a licensed installer and consult a qualified tax professional before making any solar investment decision.

4. TCPA Consent

By submitting our form and clicking the consent checkbox, you affirmatively agree to receive telephone calls and text messages (including auto-dialed and pre-recorded calls and automated SMS) from CommercialSolarMatch.com and its installer network partners at the phone number you provided, regarding commercial solar installation services. This consent is not a condition of any purchase. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You may revoke consent at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Your Information and Lead Distribution

When you submit our form, we share your contact information (name, business name, email, phone, address, and the calculator results) with one or more commercial solar installation companies in our network. These installers may contact you to schedule a site assessment, provide a binding installation proposal, or answer questions.

Installers in our network are bound by contractual obligations to use your information only for the purpose of providing commercial solar installation services to you. We are not responsible for the conduct of installers, the accuracy of their proposals, the quality of their workmanship, or any dispute that arises between you and an installer.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when using the Service.
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraudulent submissions, harvesting installer data, or competitive intelligence gathering.
  • Not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or disrupt the Service.
  • Not impersonate another person, business, or property owner.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF DATA. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

  • The calculator's estimates will match your actual installation cost or savings.
  • Any specific installer in our network will contact you, will accept your project, or will install a system to your satisfaction.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • Federal, state, or local tax incentives mentioned will apply to your specific situation or remain in effect.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMMERCIALSOLARMATCH.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM ANY INSTALLER'S CONDUCT, INSTALLATION QUALITY, OR PROPOSAL ACCURACY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CommercialSolarMatch.com, its operators, employees, and installer partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Changes to These Terms
